2ne1, the one group i’ll forever love!!!!!!!!!!!

.. okay it isn’t as serious as the title sounds.

So over the course of the past months my interest for kpop has been diminishing. I realised that for starters, i am not even interested in kpop groups other than big bang and 2ne1. And keeping a website about kpop in general and only posting about my biases is unfair. and i’m far too uninterested in the other groups to begin studying and liking them as well.

Kpop just isn’t my number one interest (i wonder if it has ever been..) and so focusing on kpop fashion is difficult.

therefore i’m putting this website and youtube channel on a hiatus for a while, i don’t think i can ever delete it because i put so much effort into this site! And i will keep it because who knows maybe one day i’ll wake up and love love kpop again??

Instead i’ve decided to focus on something that i never get tired of, Park Bom once said that she knew singing was her calling when she would sing before eating breakfast or sing instead of eating (which apparently is her second favorite activity? lol) and i feel the same way about two things. Fashion and making videos! now, it sounds super naive and cliché.. i know. i hate the word fashion and i don’t want to call myself someone who “knows” fashion because that’s such a bragging expression and every single girl out there uses it.

but truth is i really like “fashion” (oh god, is there a less commercial word for this?!) and i could “study” it for hours and days without eating. I really feel like i have to work with something related to it in the future. but who knows, things seem to change a lot with me -.-.

So i started a new channel, about me and my stuff! and i would make me so happy if you guys followed and subscribed! Because even though i’m not the biggest fan of kpop, i still love big bang and 2ne1 and i will include stuff about them in my new channel! And since you read this blog then i’m guessing you like “fashion” too!

I posted a new video yesterday about stuff i got when i went to London, a lot of my style comes from inspiration from big bang or 2ne1 so it’s not entirely “kpop-free” (which i like!). for example, i bought a sweater that i felt looked jeremy scott – ish! watch the video to see it:

The other day I saw that Bigbangswag.tumblr.com posted a link for a belt that I’d already purchased, except i bought it from the chinese ebay and unfortunately i think the item is already out of stock and because it might be difficult for my readers to shop from that site. But now i saw the link that Bigbangswag.tumblr.com provided which carries the exact same belt!

Here it is! I got it, as i said, from chinese ebay taobao.com. And it was cheap, a lot cheaper than the one sold on Pixiemarket but i guess with the shipping fees and all it adds up..

Park Bom seems to love this Alexander Wang sweater, she’s worn it on strong heart and she also wore it when they were in London recording songs with Will.i.am:

Anyways, this is just a random share. The other day i was checking out the sale at Bikbok, don’t know if you know  that store but it’s quite popular in Scandinavia and Sweden. I saw this sweater and immediately thought of Bom’s sweater..

Lastly, a picture to make you dizzy

I know it’s not exactly the same, it’s mainly the colours and that both sweaters are oversize. If you want to DIY your own Park Bom a. wang sweater, just find a huge striped sweater and make small cuts in the fabric, just follow the real one.

This is not really a post-worthy thing lol, because you guys probably don’t have Bik bok in your countries and even if you do, the item was on sale so probably difficult to find. But this just shows that even “small” chains or shops can have items similar to those of your favourite kpop idols, if you just dig through everything lol.. including the sales

By the way, it was on sale for around $10 . Original price was $42 and Alexander Wang’s shirt was/is $550.

And now I’m back, but not really with a kpop diy..haha sorry!

Today I’m gonna show you how to make a shirt similar to the one Minami from Cream is wearing in one of their latest video. If you’re a blackjack or vip I think you’ll be a little bit familiar with who Minami or cream is/are. They are a japanese duo that sings covers of other artists such as 2ne1, big bang, utada hikaru, etc etc. Check out their youtube channel here.  (but checking their channel now, I saw that they’ve deleted so many covers.. :/)

Anyways, I really like their music and above all, I really like Minami’s style! Her hair is awesome of course, but I really like what she wears!

And so I spotted this button down shirt with the detailing that I thought would be a really easy DIY!

Here’s what you’ll need and do:

You’ll need:

• A button down shirt, preferably a red-toned one as it goes well with the gold, but change it up however you want! I got mine from a store called cotton on in Hong Kong. I’ve not really been using it a lot because i don’t like the short sleeves. Good that it came to use now!
• Fringes! Gold colored ones go well with the red. I got 2 meters from a fabric store, it was around $2 for 1 m.
• Scissors
• Thread and needle

What you do:

Flip it over and put the fringe on the back to measure out how long it will be. I think most of the button down shirts have a straight line at the back (where i placed my fringes). If you have that, just follow that line. and if not, use the outlining on the fabric.

I did so with the fringe on the side, i placed it from the corner of one of the squares on the fabric until the other one.

After that, just cut up the length you want and pin it down and sew it on! It’s as easy as that!!

The results:

I didn’t do the front because i was lazy and i didn’t like the results that much because i don’t like the sleeves of this shirt (they’re so short and uncomfie whilst the back of the shirt is too long!!) So i thought, maybe i won’t wear it anyways..?

But now, while taking these photos, i realised that i’ll just make a vest out of this shirt! I’ll cut away the sleeves, add the fringes on the front, just like on Minami’s and it will look so good with something white under and black shorts!!!

This was seriously just a spontaneous DIY that i made after seeing her wearing that. I’ll be back soon with more DIY’s.

And i’ve noticed that GD has been wearing shorts a lot of the times. Makes you wonder if this dude is also a DIY:er who cuts his own old denim pants hehe.

Just today he wore this to the airport! If you look closely at his shorts they are slit open at the sides about 5 cm and they look pretty homemade to me! Now i’m not 100 % sure, could be bought or could be that his staff made them for him but i’m just saying that DIY is something everyone enjoys? hehe.

The other day he wore this ver. of denim shorts and these look like a scissor has been at them as well. But i’m not sure, did he sew the patch at his bum on as well? lol.

I think he definitely cut these denim pants up at the ankle, to make that messy fringe look which is awesome.  and don’t forget the slit at the knee. I’ve already done a pair that looks like these, just cut your pants shorter and make a hole by the knee area and throw it in the washing machine, it will come out all messy – love.

And don’t forget when he wore this denim jacket to the airport with a big cut out hole at the back..lol diy-project gone wrong? hehe.

Now i’m not sure if he really does cut up all his shorts and pants at home but at least it’s fun to see an idol wearing something you could easily  redo yourself. Although i’m pretty sure GD is wealthy enough to buy distressed denim pants worth a fortune .. :/

It’s been a long time since i updated and the reasons (excuse..) to that is that 1. i’ve been busy with my last weeks of high school and yes I graduated from high school this june!! The graduation week was crazy fun and on our graduation day it rained… bummer. But i still had a great time. Alongside school and graduation I’ve been 2. working! This is crazy but i thought i would be jobless this summer since no one had contacted me and if no one contacts you before june, it pretty much means no one wants to hire you :/ But one day I got a call while i was on my way to a job interview for a job in a clothing store asking me if I could start working in their icecream shop asap!!

I sent my resumé etc. to them in february and they finally contacted me! I didn’t get the job at the clothing store but i’m pretty sure i wouldn’t have liked that job that much because even though it’s working with clothes and stuff i really like, they want you to focus on SELLING as much as possible and i get way too stressed out about things like that and i would be really anxious comparing myself to other sellers all the time..

But now i work in this sweet little icecream shop in my city where they make their own icecream and they have really cool flavours too. So i spend my days scooping icecream for people and working by the cashier. IT is SO MUCH FUN!  I really like my boss(es) as well, she is so nice! So i’ve been busy with that and my third reason is that i’ve just not been inspirated lately, not until last night. I get this feeling everytime i get inspirated and it’s ALWAYS when i’m in bed at nighttime. So i will fall asleep while being super excited to get this idea into production and then when i wake up i don’t feel as motivated.. But usually it will come back.

So this time i’m back again and the good thing is that my schedule at the icecream shop is different for each week, so for example i worked a lot this week which means that next week is almost completely free! this is like the perfect schedule for someone like me!! i really like having a vacation in between hard work, but it mustn’t be too long! So i will have time to work on my projects for this blog, “workout”, and learn something new!

This is a swedish graduating tradition, your family carries a board of a childhood photo of you while waiting for you to “run” out of school to meet you And this is my board… hehe don’t judge >.< asian mothers mean bowl haircuts…

They’re absolutely gorgeous!! I love them so much, they make the outfit!

At first, i wanted them in black but they were out of stock so i got the grey ones instead, which i don’t regret as they don’t look as “harsh” or “gothic”

I usually wear them with really slim pants, i don’t know but i think these shoes don’t really fit with shorts or dresses (well not all shorts and dresses). but they look really good with slim fit jeans.

Well, i haven’t had the chance to wear them many times due to the weather being far to cold for even loafers or ballet flats. But every time i’ve worn them people have been totally amazed and they seem to think they’re  cool. First it was a kid that said that “wow if you kick a ball with that it will deflate and break!!!” and then yesterday a bunch of my friend’s thought they were cool too! A common misconception that people have, though, is that there are spikes on the inside of the shoe as well.. but then i say that they’re just normal studs that are flat on the bottom/other side..

Anyways, i can’t care less about what people think about them because i love them!

I bought a really cheap one (but the quality is quite good!)

It’s of lighter denim and it looks worn out on some places! I like! Although i think i prefer darker denim .. hmm

Nonetheless i really like it, it looks casual and can be worn in many different ways!
